Becki Lyons (Born Rebecca Annette Lyons on 28th April, 1987) is a female singer from the UK. Becki signed to Strawberry Records on 1 January, 2011 after auditioning for many bigger record labels including Fascination Records and Syco Music. Lyons claimed upon her signing that nobody signed her because she did not 'fit [the industry]'.

2011: Debut Album[edit | edit source]

A press launch was held on 1 January 2011 to announce that Becki had been signed to Strawberry Records. It was also confirmed during the launch that her yet untitled debut single has not been written by her. "I’m hoping to get some training through Strawberry and hopefully will co-write some tracks for the album." She explained.

On January 2, 2011 is was confirmed that Lyons' début single was to be titled 'My Pride' and was released February 7, 2011. The single reached a peak of #13 on the Singles Charts.

Lyons' 2nd single (and album lead) "Unavailable" was released on April 25th 2011 and reached #9 on the URAPS singles charts. The album was never released due to Becki's tragic death that occurded the week her single was released.

Death[edit | edit source]

On April 24th 2011, Becki tragically died at her home after tripping on a stiletto and smashing her head off the corner of a coffee table. Her good friend, Anna Jones was with her at the time and held her for the last few seconds of her life. It was a dark, dark day.
